CALL PICKUP
SPRINT CALL PICKUP
means you can pick up a call on another phone as long as you belong to the same pickup group.
Pickup Groups are built using one common LEN (line equipment number) for the group.
Be
sure to include CPU- - (LEN) - - in the key 1 features list.
This feature allows the user to answer any call it hears ringing within it's Pickup Group. The user must be on a DN and have dial tone before they push CPU.
If they want to answer only a specific DN then they will need Directed Call Pickup DCPU
An absolute maximum of 100 stations can be in one pickup group.
It is recommended that not more than 75 be in one group.
Every one in the Pickup Group must work out of the same Local Exchange.
Single Line Analog phones and Digital sets that do not have Call Pickup Buttons
must dial the feature code ( * 70 ) in order to use the feature. They must be on a DN that is in the same pickup group as the phone that is ringing, inorder to answer the call.
