Sprint Three way calling allows users to transfer calls and conference calls.
When 3WC ( TRANSFER / CONFERENCE ) is pushed, on a Digital Business Set, it puts the caller on Conference Hold. Then it gives you dial tone and allows you to dial another DN. The party is brought off of Hold and into the conversation by pressing transfer once more. The person transferring the call has a choice of screening the call to the transferred station then backing out of the conversation or sending the call there as soon as they hear Ringback tone. But the caller stays on hold until 3wc is pushed the second time. Anyone in the conversation can hang up and the other two will still remain connected. Single line Analog phones will have a Link or a Flash Button that is used for Transferring and Conferencing calls. The procedure is almost the same as above with one exception. When the Link or Flash is pushed, your caller is put on Hold and you receive new dial tone. Dial the number you want and if you hear ringing tone, then you may hang up. If you receive a Busy, press Link or Flash again and you will bring the caller on Hold into the conversation. Press the Link or Flash once more and you will release the Busy signal. Each time you Link or Flash, your caller is either moved into the conversation or taken out and put on a type of hold. FEATURE INTERACTIONS / RESTRICTIONS
