Migrating Type 1 Numbers

Sprint is now ready to process Type 1 migration requests for 1,000 and 10,000 block number ranges. Type 1 service provides an end-office non-SS7 trunk-side connection with line attributes between the wireless carrier and Sprint using a block of directory numbers. The Type 1 number ranges are assigned to Sprint by the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA) are are provided by Sprint to the wireless carrier to assign to their end users. Due to significant challenges in a porting environment, Sprint recommends that Wireless Service Providers migrate their Type 1 service and associated directory numbers to Type 2.
