There are two steps for full participation in Sprint University Wireless Access.
The plan combines a bundle of services—nationwide long distance, unlimited Sprint Mobile to Mobile Calling(SM), unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes, unlimited PCS Vision(SM) with Picture Mail(SM), and text messaging—that can be resold to students as a revenue source, or purchased by faculty and staff at a discount. When grouped together, these services are far less expensive than if purchased separately.
Cover your entire campus with Sprint enhanced in-building coverage. This standard component of the University Wireless Access Plan involves an analysis of weak spots across campus. For example, say your school has a cinderblock residence hall-a traditionally poor environment for wireless coverage. Sprint can wirelessly enable that dark zone by installing a repeater or tower. As part of the plan, Sprint commits a minimum of $50,000 to enhance campus coverage.
Once you have your University Wireless Access Plan in place, improve offerings with higher education products, services, and solutions from Sprint. Some examples include, but are not limited to:
Distance Learning - Leverage Sprint audio, video, and Internet conferencing technology to address common higher education communication challenges such as remote campus connectivity, interaction among partners, and broadcasting instruction around the world.
PCS Integrated Office(SM) - Combine landline phone functionality with PCS phone mobility. All participants get to take advantage of abbreviated dialing, single voicemail, single number, and a Web site to manage their single number and personal calling features.
Sprint PCS Ready Link(SM) - Push-to-talk technology turns your Sprint PCS Phone into a two-way radio style device. It's ideal in a campus setting where constant and instant communications are necessary for operations, maintenance, and police. Furthermore, students are now taking advantage of this new technology. It's the newest, coolest gadget that students are using to touch base with each other between classes and around campus.
